I felt strong emotions of awe and a gulp. I have been a backpacker/hiker for 30 years and just started running August 2017. The running groups that I am a part of here in Rocklin/ Roseville/ Folsom/ Auburn are an amazing group of people. I watched a video of last year’s race. I volunteered this year at the gate. I saw the 1st finisher. I must say, my mind seeing all these and now including your story my mind is resisting the urge. I am just about to compete on my 1st marathon. I have a long way to go.
